Alexia Fernandes

Alexia Fernandes (she/they/he) is a Luso-French screenwriter and film director. Graduating in 2011, they specialized in Film Direction at the School of Technologies, Innovation, and Creation in Lisbon. Their short films have garnered nominations at prestigious events such as Fantasporto, the Lisbon & Sintra Film Festival, and at the Faro International Film Festival. Additionally, their screenplays earned recognition from Maison des Scénaristes, leading them to participate in the annual meeting between authors and producers during the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in 2019. Over the span of approximately three decades, Alexia has resided in three distinct countries and cultures. They have experienced life in France, their birthplace and where the father emigrated in 1970; Portugal, where the parents returned in 2000; and Germany, where they have made their home since 2014. Beginning in 2023, they have chosen to divide their time between Berlin and Leiria.

François Yang

François was born in Fribourg (Switzerland) and graduated from the cinema department of ECAL (École cantonale d’art de Lausanne / University of Art and Design, Lausanne) in 2003. He completed his training at la Fémis (French National Film School) and obtained a Master’s degree in cinema from the University of Paris VIII. After having directed several short films, including “One Magic Evening”, he shot his first feature film, “The Soul of the Tiger”, which premiered at the Zurich Film Festival.

He has also directed several documentaries, which were broadcast in prime time on Swiss national television, on TV5 Monde, French national television, RTBF and at the festival “Visions du Réel” in Nyon.

François est un Réalisateur franco-suisse né à Fribourg et vivant à Paris. Pablo Malek

Pablo is a writer and director from Mantes-la-Jolie (Yvelines, France).

Initially a music video director, in 2017 he signed a first self-produced documentary project on the spaces and actors of the counter-culture in the outskirts of Lima..

Mina Frhyré

Mina is a filmmaker from Mautitius. We had the Moon ! will be her first feature film. Her short documentary “My Place” is in the “2024 selection of the Festival International des Films Identitaires et Solidaires”.

As a theater director and playwright, she has worked with Bruce Myers and Peter Brook, in theaters in Paris, London, and Rome. She has studied documentary filmmaking at the Fémis, a renowned film school in Paris. She speaks four languages: Creole, her native language, English, French, and Italian.

Mamadou Diop

Mamadou cinéaste et photographe sénégalais, vit entre Dakar et d'autres villes africaines. Vidéo-journaliste expérimenté, il collabore avec des médias internationaux comme Associated Press, BBC et VOA News. Formé à l'audiovisuel au Sénégal, il a poursuivi un master en cinéma au Cap-Vert et une formation en direction de la photographie au Brésil. Son premier court-métrage, Hoj ê ke kel dia (2012), a été projeté dans des festivals au Brésil, Burkina Faso, Nigéria et Canada.

Depuis 2014, il explore aussi la photographie, travaillant comme directeur photo sur des projets tels que Canhão de Boca (Cap-Vert). En 2020, son court-métrage Palanteer M'bedd, tourné au Sénégal, a été primé au Brésil et en Côte d'Ivoire. Diop a également co-créé la série brésilienne Conexão Brasil Senegal : A Cultura em Nós et assuré la cinématographie du documentaire Doxandém, les chasseurs de rêves (2023). Il travaille actuellement sur un documentaire sur le Penguin Bar de Berlin et participe à un projet du réalisateur brésilien Joelzito Araújo sur l'histoire du cinéma africain, tout en développant son premier long-métrage sur la migration au Sénégal contemporain.
