The battle of Vrbanja

On 27 May 1995, Serbian soldiers, disguised as French troops, captured the Vrbanja outpost, situated near a strategic bridge on the front line in the centre of Sarajevo. Five French officers from the RICM in Vannes decided, without informing the UN, to retaliate and launch an assault before dawn. Captain Lecointre, who had recently arrived in Sarajevo, led the assault.

For the first time, UN peacekeepers disobeyed UN orders and took the initiative in combat.

Le 27 mai 1995, déguisés en soldats français, des militaires serbes conquièrent le poste de Vrbanja, situé aux abords d’un pont stratégique sur la ligne de front au centre de Sarajevo. Cinq officiers français du RICM de Vannes, décident, sans prévenir l’ONU, de riposter et de lancer un assaut avant l’aube. Le capitaine Lecointre, fraîchement arrivé à Sarajevo, va mener l’assaut.

Pour la première fois, des casques bleus vont contrevenir aux ordres de l'ONU et prendre l'initiative d'un combat.

Lucho part en fait en road trip avec ses amis. A cause d'une panne il va rester bloqué dans une ville du sud de la France où il s'intégrera à une grande communauté latina. Sur place il devra travailler et fera face à l'hostilité de certains locaux. Ce périple lui permettra de renouer avec sa culture d'origine.

Vincent Director of Photography since 2011 and director since 2014, he is a passionate of cinema. Author and theater director for almost 10 years, his particular view as a director switch between theater and cinema. Today, he develops several film projects currently in the writing stage.

Vincent Auteur, metteur en scène et directeur d’acteurs depuis près de 10 ans, mon regard de metteur en scène oscille entre théâtre et cinéma. Après deux courts-métrage, NOCT et ELLE, diffusés dans plus de 50 pays et sur Amazon Prime, un long-métrage à peine terminé, la série courte MERCI en post-production, et le spectacle CARTABLE en diffusion, je développe aujourd'hui plusieurs projets cinématographiques au stade d'écriture.

Eloane Venkatapen

Eloane was born and raised in Lyon, France and moved to Vancouver, British Columbia to study Film Production at UBC. Upon graduating, she has worked on projects ranging from feature films and TV-series to commercials and documentary films. After two years at Cedar Island Films as an Associate Producer, she is now focusing on her work as a Writer and Director developing her first feature film Lanmè, which was selected as part of the 2025 Whistler Film Festival Screenwriter Lab. It is produced by Reign Films and Ceroma Films, supported by Telefilm Canada, Creative BC and the Canada Arts Council. Her latest short film Backlog was produced by Marginal Productions with support from the Canada and BC Art Council, the NFB and is currently in post-production. Eloane was part of the WIDC Career Advancement Module in 2025, VIFF Catalyst program in 2024 and is a founding member of the Francophone filmmaking organization Créaxion. As a mixed-race woman and French speaker in British-Columbia, Eloane values telling stories from underrepresented perspectives and strives to foster a supportive community focused on telling important stories.

Eloane est née et a grandi à Lyon, en France, avant de s’installer à Vancouver, en Colombie-Britannique, pour étudier la production cinématographique à l’Université de la Colombie-Britannique (UBC). Depuis l’obtention de son diplôme, elle a travaillé sur des projets allant des longs métrages et séries télévisées aux publicités et documentaires. Après avoir passé deux ans chez Cedar Island Films en tant que productrice associée, elle se consacre désormais à son travail de scénariste et de réalisatrice et développe son premier long métrage, Lanmè, qui a été sélectionné dans le cadre du Screenwriter Lab du Festival du film de Whistler 2025. Canada, de Creative BC et du Conseil des arts du Canada. Son dernier court métrage, *Backlog*, a été produit par Marginal Productions avec le soutien du Conseil des arts du Canada et de la Colombie-Britannique, ainsi que de l'ONF, et est actuellement en post-production. Eloane a participé au module de perfectionnement professionnel du WIDC en 2025, au programme VIFF Catalyst en 2024 et est membre fondatrice de l'organisation cinématographique francophone Créaxion. En tant que femme métisse et francophone vivant en Colombie-Britannique, Eloane tient à faire entendre des récits issus de perspectives sous-représentées et s'efforce de créer une communauté solidaire qui s'attache à raconter des histoires importantes

François Barré

François Author and screenwriter of TV fiction (trained at CEEA and the Cité européenne du scénario), specialising in crime and thrillers. I develop concepts, storyboards, characters, narrative arcs and story sequences, with a particular focus on suspense, cliffhangers and serialised storytelling. Author or co-author of several fiction projects for Paramount+, Netflix, France TV, TF1 and M6. Alongside this, I have written and directed 27 documentaries for Canal+, France 5 and RMC.My experience in production, artistic direction and programme management (C8, Gulli, NRJ) has shaped my writing style, which is creative, well-structured and tailored to broadcasters’ expectations

Auteur ou co-auteur de plusieurs projets de fiction pour Paramount+, Netflix, France Tv, TF1 et M6. En parallèle, j'ai écrit et réalisé 27 documentaires pour Canal+, France 5 et RMC. Mon parcours en production, en direction artistique et direction des programmes (C8, Gulli, NRJ) nourrit une écriture à la fois créative, structurée et adaptée aux attentes des diffuseurs.

François Lunel

François attended school in Aix-en-Provence until 1989, then went to study film in Paris. In 1992, he set off for Sarajevo, where he remained until the end of the war to make feature films, including *Quiet Days in Sarajevo*. On his return, he continued his career and began working at La Fémis as a lecturer in directing. He trained as a screenwriter, notably with Marcel Beaulieu in 2014. He was a screenwriting lecturer at Groupe Ouest (from 2017 to 2018) and at Méditalents.

François est scolarisé à Aix en Provence jusqu’en 1989, puis part étudier le cinéma à Paris. En 1992, il s’embarque pour Sarajevo, où il reste jusqu’à la fin de la guerre pour y tourner des films de fiction, dont Jours tranquilles à Sarajevo. A son retour, il poursuit son métier, et commence à travailler à la Fémis comme intervenant à la mise en scène. Il se forme au métier de scénariste avec notamment Marcel Beaulieu en 2014. Il est intervenant scénario au Groupe Ouest (de 2017 à 2018), à Méditalents, NFDC (Inde), PK Consulting (Paris), à la Fémis (fiction) et Lussas (documentaire). Il a réalisé 4 l-m de fiction et plusieurs documentaires. Son film Quand la nuit noire a reçu le prix du meilleur film & meilleur scénario au Festival d'Alexandrie. La série STORM qu'il a co écrit entre 2022 et 2024 avec Ajitpal Singh en Inde pour HRX est co produite par Prime.

Tinatin and Khvicha Emiridze

Tinatin and Khvicha are Georgian filmmakers and siblings. Their works have been screened at various international film festivals. Their documentary film *Respublika* premiered at the New York City Independent Film Festival in 2022. They subsequently won the Grand Prix at CinéDOC-Tbilisi and, in 2022, received the Tsinandali Award. Their short fiction film *Black Sea* has also won awards at several festivals and competitions. Since 2023, they have been living in France, where they are developing their new project: a debut feature film.

Tinatin and Khvicha sont des cinéastes géorgiens et frères et sœurs. Leurs œuvres ont été projetées dans divers festivals internationaux de cinéma. Leur film documentaire Respublika a été présenté en première au New York City Independent Film Festival en 2022. Par la suite, ils ont remporté le Grand Prix au CinéDOC-Tbilissi et, en 2022, ont reçu le Prix Tsinandali. Leur court-métrage de fiction Black Sea a également remporté des prix dans plusieurs festivals et compétitions. Depuis 2023, ils vivent en France, où ils développent leur nouveau projet : un premier long métrage.
